Fat Cat Poly Carving

Foot stool and art piece

Fat Cat started as a small wooden foot stool. I then built up the body out of sheets of Polystyrene stuck together with expanding foam and coated with a thin layer of plaster. The face was created using air drying clay and painted with Acrylic paint. Fat cat stands about 2ft high and 1 1/2 foot wide, she is super light but very stable.
